Amani Ahmed, CPA, MST

Amani has over 10 years of experience in tax and accounting. She is the founder of AGA Group, a CPA firm. Prior to starting AGA Group, Amani worked for a nationwide public accounting firm for 7 years. While working at Reznick Group as the Senior Tax Consultant, Amani developed outstanding skill in real estate taxation and general accounting. She advised different company President’s, Vice President’s, and CFO’s on strategic tax planning and accounting processes.
At AGA Group she works alongside company financial professionals and business owners to handle management of accounting systems, recordkeeping, tax compliance, business consulting, and training. Helping self-employed professionals and business owners to properly structure their business, organize financial data, provide tax planning, preparation, and audit representation services are just some of the many ways she show outstanding skill in satisfying her client’s financial needs. She understands the high demand on financial services, and she works hard to keep her clients Audit Proof from the IRS, and to create affluent businesses. She also prides herself in keeping her clients informed of the loopholes when it comes to saving tax money.
Amani enjoys individual tax planning because not only does it help the individual's finances, but it also helps their families become more financially secure. Being able to use her experiences to develop a plan for each financial need to make a clear difference in her clients’ finances, and to add value to her clients’ financial experiences has always been her top priority.
Amani has just started The Elite Women Business Owner MasterMind Group with a fellow business professional. She also has a lot of strong networks and partnerships in professional affiliations and memberships. Teaching and training has become a new found passion for Amani. She educates her audience in hopes that they will all empower themselves financially after learning valuable techniques from her position as a CPA, investor, trainer, and most importantly a business owner.
Amani is a National Public Liaison (NPL), which makes her the voice of minority tax practitioner and taxpayers. NPL serves as the voice to the Internal Revenue Service to ensure better efforts to seek, develop, maintain and strengthen working partnerships in the national tax professional community. As an NPL, Amani’s primary responsibility is to communicate the concerns of the tax community to better help seek solutions with the IRS.
All this would have not been possible without the support of her family, work experience, and her accomplishments as a student in different institutions. After only one sitting Amani passed the CPA exam, which is one of her many accomplishments after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bowie State University, Bowie, Maryland. Then going on to further her education to receive her Master’s of Science in Taxation from American University, Washington, D.C.
Amani currently resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Welcoming a new addition to her family, her new born baby nephew has been a good way to start the New Year!

Sid Hameed
Business Partner
Sid has over 16 years of extensive experience in marketing and growing start up firms. He partnered in creating Computer World Services Corporation (CWSC), one of the largest multi-million dollar computer technology firms in Washington, DC. Within 10 years, Sid grew the company from a $50K startup to a company worth $32M. CWSC has been featured in the Washington Business Journal and INC. Magazine as one of America’s fastest growing private companies.
He served as project manager for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the development of a study tracking abandoned and distressed properties in America’s capital. Throughout his career, Sid served on advisory boards for seven organizations.
Also he serves as the President and Founder of Brickfront Properties, a home improvement business and owns an impressive portfolio of investments. With this impressive background Sid brings AGA Group a veteran prospective in the field of business. Sid coordinates business plans for AGA Group to bring our business to its full potential.
Sid enjoys researching all of his interest which includes marketing, real estate, and business concepts. He resides with his loving wife and dog, Mufasa, in Bowie, Maryland.

Chanell Baylor
Marketing Associate
Chanell has studied in the field of communications for over four years. She keeps up with latest marketing strategies to keep our business a strong competitor. By broadening our social media spectrum in our local market areas, she creates new avenues to show off AGA Group’s talent. Between social mediums such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, Chanell has interconnected these networks to build AGA Group’s social networking with clients, prospective clients, partnering corporations, and our affiliations and memberships.
Starting out as an intern with AGA Group creating marketing materials, and event coordinating she has showed some amazing skills and abilities to become a strong asset to the team.
Chanell is an Alumna of Bowie State University where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Communications.
Chanell loves her family dearly, and she is passionate about her career interest.

Juanita Barnes
Office Administrator/Bookkeeping Professional
Juanita has 14 years of experience in professional customer service in competitive environments for private sectors. Juanita’s ability to multi-task different projects that include office administration, bookkeeping, and customer service are some of her daily work ethics. She works closely with her team to ensure our clients receive nothing but the best at AGA Group. Managing a multitude of bookkeeping clients, Juanita still manages to make each individual client top priority. She ensures that all accounting transactions procedures are in compliance, and specializes in accounts payable and receivable Profit and Loss. Juanita is also a notery public. Having brought her experiences with bank reconciliation and cashbook maintenance she has been able to create a smooth day-to-day process for bookkeeping.
Juanita is result-oriented and effective in establishing relationships that foster long-term client satisfaction here at AGA Group. Having received two degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration from Strayer University has kept her at the top of her success.
Juanita enjoys being a mother of two lovely daughters, being able to cheerlead with them, and cheer both in a positive direction.

Derrick Bazemore
Bookkeeping Professional
Derrick has over 6 years of experience in management, and over three years of accounting experience. Using those experiences he manages a multitude of bookkeeping clients helping them to find more effective ways to handle their finances. Our business bookkeeping clients depend on Derrick to find new ways to enhance their businesses by reviewing the financial aspects of their companies. He goes above and beyond the expectations of our clients by taking note of their expenditures, transactions, and multiple account comparisons. Training clients on QuickBooks is one of his many ways that he empowers our clients to manage their finances more effectively.
As a full academic scholarship recipient of the Hillman Entrepreneur’s Program, Derrick is in the pursuit of his Bachelor’s in Accounting. We value his drive to learn, his commitment to our clients, and most of all his dedication to our team.
During Derrick’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and watching sports.

Oluwatomilola has over two years of experience in office administration. Showing true leadership skills and abilities has made her a valuable asset to the team. She makes sure the office is kept organized to make our office run smoothly. Assisting each team member, Oluwatomilola makes sure that we all make each business day more effective.
Oluwatomilola is apart of many scholarly memberships and affiliations such as the Black Cultural Awareness (BCA), National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), and the Future Business Leaders Association (FBLA).She is currently in the process of pursing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at High Point University, High Point, NC.

Munish Mahajan
Accountant
Munish has over 12 years of international experience in finance and accounting. He has extensive expertise in management of accounts receivables and accounts payables, auditing, reconciliations, payroll, budget analysis and financial reporting. He has served as Senior Divisional Executive managing finance activity, monitoring inventory control and order, including approving purchase orders (local & foreign) in Muscat, Oman. He has also worked for Advertising International Co. LLC as Chief Accountant where he handled month-end and year-end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, payroll reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payment, cash management and internal controls. Munish has held senior accounting positions in New Delhi, India.
He has a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting. Munish brings consistent results in achieving fiscal and organizational success to clients.
Aniisha White
Administrative Assistant
Licensed Public Notary, Maryland
Aniisha has over 14 years experience as a professional Administrative Assistant. She has extensive knowledge in real estate accounting with over 5 years experience in the Property Title and Real Estate arena. Aniisha’s dedication, energy and outstanding customer service promoted her from a Paralegal to an Accounting Assistant for title and escrow firms, Slugg & Associates PLC and Maximum Title LOE Inc. She has served as Project Manager for special accounting projects and has a solid background in marketing and innovation.
